<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the erroneous selection of a program to be executed by ensuring the selective changeover of storage modes properly for either straight discharge or reversed discharge in a sheet storage device for a copying machine and the like. CONSTITUTION:Sheets 'P' from an image formation device 1 are guided and carried, selectively classified into a group along a straight passage 'B' and another group along a reversal passage 'A' depending upon a storage mode, via a changeover means (i.e. changeover guide 12 and reversal guide 13). After the elapse of carrying time for the sheets 'P' up to a secondary sheet discharge sensor 21 via the straight passage 'B', a straight discharge mode is selected, if the sensor 21 has detected the sheets 'P'. The mode selection is so set that a reversed discharge mode will be selected, if the sheets 'P' have not been detected, thereby judging selectively a sheet storage mode. According to the aforesaid constitution, only the discrimination of a sheet detecting condition with the sensor 2 enables the changeover of modes.</p> |
