PURPOSE:To fix the thickness of display cells at a specified interval by intersecting fibers orthogonally, and disposing and fixing the same like nets as spacers to be used between two sheets of opposed substrates of the display cells of liquid crystals, etc. CONSTITUTION:Fibers 8 of glass, etc. are intersected orthogonally between two sheets of substrates 6, 7 of glass, plastic films, etc., whereby spacers are formed. If, for example, the spacers 8 of 5mu diameter are intersected orthogonally on one substrate 7, and are fixed thereto by using adhesive agents 9, the spacers of 10mu thickness are obtained. If the substrate 6 is adhered to said substrate via the orthogonally intersecting fibers 8, a display cell 5 maintaining a specified spacing is obtained. |
