<p>The drier has superimposed tunnels in which pass supports (1), running on side rails. They are driven by an endless chain which passes through the tunnels and loops back to its starting point. Each tunnel (15,16) has two superimposed chains (2,3). The height of the supports is reduced to about half of that possible for a tunnel with a single chain. The support spacing is reduced similarly. The upper and lower chains in a tunnel (15) reverse their positions in the next tunnel (16). The two chains have the same length and reverse positions in a U-section.</p> |
