PURPOSE:To improve explosion resistance, slag resistance and molten steel percolation resistance by forming a coating layer consisting of refractory aggregate, a binder, and fibrous materials and a finish coating layer consisting of refractory aggregate and a binder on the inner side of the refractory bricks for lining of a tundish. CONSTITUTION:A coating layer 2 consisting of 94-96wt% refractory aggregate such as SiO2-Al2O refractories, MgO clinker or the like, 1-2wt% fibrous materials such as org. fibers, waste paper fibers or the like, and 3-4wt% sodium silicate or orthophosphoric acid as a binder is provided on the inner side of refractory bricks 3 for lining of a tundish. Further, a finish coating layer 1 consisting of 95-97wt% the above-mentioned aggregate of <=0.5mm. and 3-5wt% the binder is provided on the inner side thereof. The explosion resistance in the stage of applying and drying of the coating layers, and the slag resistance and molten steel percolation resistance in the stage of receiving steel are improved. |
