PURPOSE:To miniaturize the titled developing device, by providing an area of a small rotary radius at least at an area of a member that carries a developer with rotations and setting a toner concentration sensor, etc. at the area of a small rotary radius. CONSTITUTION:A conveying roller 1 has a notched part 2 at center and contains a toner concentration sensor 3 there. A developer carried to a development sleeve 4 by the roller 1 is controlled by a doctor 5, and the excessive developer is sent back to the side of the roller 1 by a separator (b). In this case, a part of the developer passes through the notched part of the roller 1 and then passes a bobbin-shaped flow path of the sensor 3. Thus the variance of the inductance is detected by the change of the fluidity of the deveopment which passes the above-mentioned flow path. If the notched part is not so large, the developer on the sleeve 4 becomes uneven slightly in the axial direction. However, no variance is caused for the development. |
