PURPOSE:To obtain a gel hair cosmetic especially suitable as a hair rinse, by using an amino acid alkyl ester salt such as glycine cetyl ester hydrochloride, a straight-chain saturated alcohol, and a condensate of a fatty acid and polypeptide, at specific ratios. CONSTITUTION:The objective hair cosmetic contains (A) one or more amino acid alkyl ester salts and/or their derivatives (surface active agents having extremely high safety) of formula (R1 is 16-22C long-chain alkyl; R2 is 1-4C alkyl; R3 is H or CH3; X is halogen, sulfate group, acetate group, or citrate group) obtained by condensing an amino acid or its derivative with a higher alcohol and neutralizing the product with an acid, (B) a 14-22C straight-chain saturated alcohol (e.g. cetyl alcohol) and (C) a condensation product of a 8-22C fatty acid and a polypeptide. The amount of the components (A), (B) and (C) are 0.5-4.0wt%, 0.7-5.0wt% and 0.1-3.0wt%, respectively. EFFECT:The agent moistens and collects the hair without giving stickiness. It is also effective to improve the loosening property of the hair and is non-irritant to the skin. |
