PURPOSE:To detect the meandering of a belt and automatically correct it, by providing a detected object for the detection so that the object endlessly extends between overlapped belt materials in the longitudinal direction. CONSTITUTION:Meandering detectors 19 are provided in fixed positions over or under a detected object 10 for detecting the meandering of a belt 8. The detector 19 functions to find out the meandering of the belt 8 from its moving direction to drive a hydraulic cylinder 17 corresponding to the meandering part of the belt. A rod 18 is moved up or down by the driving of the cylinder 17 to change the inclination angle of a roller 14 to correct the meandering of the belt 8. A meandering detector 19, a pair of right and left rollers 14, 14 and a pair of right and left hydraulic cylinders 17, 17 are used as a group. |
