In order, in a welding sleeve, which is axially penetrated by a threaded bore and has a welding-on flange, arranged on one end part, and a tube socket that is braced axially by the welding-on flange, has circular ring cross-sections over its entire length, is constructed as a piercing punch, and has a circumferential zone which expands conically towards its free end face and forms an undercut cutting edge with the free end face, at least to reduce the possibilities of installation error on a device for connecting the intake ducts of a two-plate heater to an external supply line consisting of two tube lengths which are arranged behind one another axially and can be connected to one another and whose mutually averted end parts are screwed into sleeves welded onto the plate heaters, the conical circumferential zone (8) of the tube socket (6) has a smaller axial length than the overall tube socket. It is preferred for the conical circumferential zone (8) to merge into a second circumferential zone (10) which expands conically towards the flange (5) and whose largest diameter corresponds to the diameter of the free end face (7) of the tube socket. <IMAGE>
