<p>PURPOSE:To automatic switching to NR (noise reduction) decoding by carrying the NR decoding into effect on detecting a mark provided to the cartridge of a tape processed by noise reduction encoding. CONSTITUTION:A projection part 22 is provided at a prescribed position of the cartridge 20 of a tape. This projection part 22 is used as a mark for showing whether the tape in the cartridge is processed by NR encoding or not. When the projection part 22 is present, the knob 26 of a lever 24 fitted to a mechanism is pressed as shown by an arrow A and NR decoding in not performed. When the projection part 22 is cut off, switches 14 and 16 are both placed at the 1st contact sides and NR decoding is carried out automatically. Thus, switching to the NR decoding is automated.</p> |
