PURPOSE:To detect continuously the condition of degradation, by providing a vessel having a sensor, which detects the gas generated from oil-immersion type insulating materials, and a device which calculates the activation energy of degradation of materials on the basis of the quantity of the generated gas and records said enerty. CONSTITUTION:Vessels 4, 5, and 6 where insulating materials 7, 8, and 9 are arranged in ovens 1, 2, and 3 and are heated, and the quantity of gas to be generated is detected by gas sensors 10, 11, and 12. A scanner 13 and a gas detector 15 are controlled by a microcomputer 18 to input the change in the lapse of time of the quantity of gas to be generated at every temperature to the microcomputer 18, and the activation energy of gas generation or the degradation of insulating materials at the time point when the quantity of generated gas reaches a certain level is calculated. The change in the lapse of time of the quantity of generated gas and the activation energy calculated in each level and at each time are recorded by a printer 17 or a plotter 19. |
