In conventional vacuum cleaners which contain a tubular handle (2) with a nozzle (3) and a hose (3) connected to the tubular handle (2), particular problems occasionally arise when a user wants to put the vacuum cleaner to one side for a short time. The appliance user then usually has to remove the tubular handle (2), which is inconvenient. According to the present invention, said difficulty is eliminated in that the tubular handle (2) is equipped with a device containing legs (8 and 9) which can open out, the tubular handle (2) with the nozzle (3) and the legs (8 and 9) allowing an upright position of rest for the tubular handle (2) with nozzle (3). <IMAGE> |
