PURPOSE:To detect automatically the movement direction and the movement speed of an object to be picked up, by giving different weights to a signal indicating the object to be picked up and the preceding signal indicating the object to be picked up and adding two signals having different weights. CONSTITUTION:An object picked up by a television camera 1 is inputted as a picture signal to a binary device 2. The binary device 2 makes the picture signal from the television camera 1 binary with a certain threshold and outputs a binary signal of ''1'' and ''0''. The binary signal is inputted to a delay circuit 3 and an adding circuit 7. The binary signal from the binary device 2 is delayed in the delay circuit 3 by a time corresponding to one frame and is outputted to a level shift circuit 6. The level of the binary signal of the preceding frame from the delay circuit 3 is shifted in the level shift circuit 6 by 1/2 in this case, and this level-shifted signal is inputted to the adding circuit 7. |
