PURPOSE:To make the device small-sized and facilitate the detection of the state of a paper on a carrying path, by leading information, which is detected optically and indicates whether the paper exists or not, to a display part through optical fibers. CONSTITUTION:Three bundles of optical fibers 3 are provided in a paper detector 1, and the light emitting part of a light emitting element 5 driven by a driving circuit 4 is provided so as to face one end of fiber 3a, and a photodetector 6 is provided so as to face one end of fiber 3b. One end of fiber 3c is extended to a display part 2 of the copying machine body and are arranged in pertinent parts of a paper detector installation position display 2a displayed on the display part 2 respectively, and the presence or the absence of a paper 7 is displayed optically by flickering. |
