PURPOSE:To perform a silane crosslink in a short time through widening of a temperature gradient from the inside of a hollow body to the outside, by crosslinking silane such that the outside of an extruded silane denatured polyolefin body is cooled by water, and the inside is heated by heated water. CONSTITUTION:19pts. a silane denatured polyethylene and 1pt. a catalyst composition are fed to a biaxial extruder in which a pipe mold having a heated water feed pipe is mounted, and a pipe with an outer diameter of 17mm. and an inner diameter of 13mm. (wall thickness of 2mm.) is extruded at a temperature of 135 deg.C at a rate of 2mm./min. In which case, the outside of the pipe is cooled by water having a temperature of 20 deg.C, a heated water having a temerature of 85 deg.C is fed from the heated water feed pipe to crosslink silane through heating of the inside, and when gel proportions at parts 50cm, 1m, 1.5m, 2m, and 2.5m away from an extrusion port are measured, they are found to be 19%, 43%, 61%, 64%, and 68%, respectively. |
