PURPOSE:The starting materials are hydrolyzed with steam, dehydrated in heated oil under little reduced pressure, then the vacuum is increased to exchange the water with oil, then the resulting materials are separated into oil and solid to prevent oil deterioration and produce high-quality protein feed. CONSTITUTION:About 3 tons of brid feathers are placed in a cooker of about 5 m<3> capacity and the cooker is pressurized with steam up to 4kg/cm<2>, then the pressure is gradually reduced for about 30min to the normal one to effect hydrolysis. Then, the product is put in about 900kg. of animal, fish or vegetable oil which is previously heated up over 90 deg.C under stirring. About 30min after being put in, the pressure is reduced by 10-20mm.Hg, then by 740-750mm.Hg to effect vacuum dehydration until the water content becomes 6% or so after about 3hr. Then, the materials are taken out of the cooker and squeezed to separate into oil and solid and the solid is the objective protein feed of 70% protein content. |
