PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a defective lead wire which might be caused during the installation of a base by heating and pressing the buried fixed part of a base pin during a caulking process by means of a punch made of an ultrasonic horn. CONSTITUTION:A pressure of 5kg is applied to a buried fixed part 3b of a base pin 3 for one second by means of a punch 5a so as to perform caulking between the base pin 3 and a main body 2. As a result, ultrasonic waves are transmitted to the part 3b, a lead-wire insertion hole wall 2a is heatd and molten, and the part 3b is buried into the body 2. By the means mentioned above, the part 3b is prevented from protruding over the lead-wire insertion hole wall 2a, and a lead wire is smoothly inserted into the base pin 3 without receiving any disturbance. |
