The invention relates to a non-return valve, especially a nozzle non-return valve, for installation in gas or liquid pipelines, consisting of a housing which has mechanically machined holders on its inside for the internal fittings which consist of a valve plate or ring and, if applicable, nozzle bodies. Because of the housing, which consists of cast metal, the non-return valves, especially of large sizes, are very heavy and expensive. The present invention is intended to reduce the weight and hence the costs for non-return valves of this type and to this end proposes that the housing be constructed of standardised or non-standardised tubular pieces (1). <IMAGE>
