The invention relates to a contact arrangement (which is equipped with at least two contacts) for switching apparatuses, especially for relays, switching contactors, switches and momentary-contact switches (pushbuttons, keys), in the case of which the contact lines of the respectively closed contact pair cross one another and touch like points in the region of each crossing point. In order to simplify the fitting of the contacts to the contact carriers and always to enable high switching reliability with correct contact making, the contact line (in the case of at least one contact of the contact pairs which in each case interact) is intended to form an intrinsically closed line.
