PURPOSE:To measure the packing time of material into dies easily by measuring the time elapsed from the point of the time when the pressure in an injection cylinder increases until the point of the time when an injection speed decreases. CONSTITUTION:A pressure detector is provided in an injection cylinder, and the pressure Pg at the point of the time when injection and packing are started in the stage of injecting material into dies from the inside of the injection cylinder through a nozzle and a sprue is detected. On the other hand, the injection speed is increased sharply by the injection of the material through the sprue into the dies; thereafter, the material is injected and packed into the dies at a specified injection rate and when the injection and packing are nearly completed, the speed decreases sharply and the point of the time when the speed attains a low speed Vps is defined as the time when the injection and packing are completed. Thus, if the time tf from the point of the time when the injection pressure attains the prescribed pressure Pg until the time when the injection speed attains the prescribed low speed Vps is measured, the injecting and packing time is measured. |
