PURPOSE:To provide possibility of smooth adjustment for the projection of a grinding wheel, in a grinding head of a honing machine, by arranging the grinding wheel in the grinding wheel holding member in the radial direction and by moving a pin fixed to the gridning wheel along an Archimedean spiral for adjustment of the diameter of grinding wheel. CONSTITUTION:A radial guide groove 55 is provided in the 3 direction in a grinding wheel holding member 51, to fit a grinding wheel 56 with slidability. A pin 57 is planted in this grinding wheel 56 and fitted in an Archimedean spiral feed groove 44 provided in the projection adjusting member 41. The grinding wheel holding member 51 is put in relative rotation to the projection adjusting member 41 using a differential gearing mechanism, and the pin 57 on the grinding wheel 56 is moved along the feed groove 44 to push out the grinding wheel 56 in the radial direction. |
