PURPOSE:To use a transmission line for display in common and to reduce the number of connection terminals, by utilizing the transmission line for display for information transmission which disallows the display effect of a display element. CONSTITUTION:The transistor (TR)Q15 of a flash device FL is turned on and off by pulses (t1-t3) including pieces of information on the shortest distance and the longest distance, and its on-off signal is transmitted to a camera CA through a terminal T3. This signal is converted by the converting means A52 including latch circuits 162 and 163 for storing the longest distance dMAX and the shortest distance dMIN, and in flash mode, the stored values of the latch circuits are displayed 167 and 168. This signal current is supplied to a light emitting diode LED1, but when a TRQ40 is turned off, the diode does not turn on. On the other hand, the TRQ40 turns on on the completion of charging, the diode LED1 is supplied with a sufficient turn-on current. |
