PURPOSE:To compose an economic power source having stable operation by dividing a commutation condenser into two, charging them via the first and second DC power sources, and rapidly reducing the difference between the initial charging voltage and the charging voltage at the constantly operating time. CONSTITUTION:Commutation condensers 51, 52 are charged in the shown directions by power sources 1, 2. A main thyristor 41 is fired, a load current i4 is flowed, the thyristor is turned ON after the time corresponding to the current flowing angle alpha, and an auxiliary thyristor 43 is fired. When a current flows through a flywheel diode 8 at this time, the potntial difference between the anode and the cathode becomes only the forward voltage drop, the condensers 51, 52 are charged in a circuit having the power source 1, condenser 51, parallel diode 44, a rector 7, condenser 52, power source 2, flywheel diode 8 and power source 1, and the charging voltage becomes approx. sum of the power sources 1, 2. In this manner, the difference between the initial charging voltage and the charting voltage at the ordinarily operating time can be reduced, thereby obtaining stable operation. |
