PURPOSE:To make the device small-sized, by providing a recording medium, a means which forms latent images corresponding to different color component images on the recording medium, and a developer carrying means having plural regions where different color developers are carried. CONSTITUTION:A recording devices is provided with a recording medium drum 1 such as photoreceptor, optical image irradiating means 2, AO modulator 4 which modulates a laser light on a basis of the video signal corresponding to each color component image, beam expander 5, developing means 8, drum 9 as a developer carrying means, etc. The laser light is modulated at prescribed intervals in every scanning line by video signals corresponding to different color component images. Each color developer is supplied and applied in a shape like a spiral band on the surface of the magnetic drum 9 in accordance with each color latent image formed on the recording medium. Thus, respective color regions are arranged in order in oblique bands on a transfer material, and the recording medium is made compact. |
