Apparatus for the dismembering of round bales by the use of a loading truck equipped with a cutting unit and with a scraper floor, for which purpose the cutting unit has a plurality of jointly drivable cutting rollers of identical diameter arranged horizontally and axis-parallel, and the number of cutting rollers and their diameters are so selected according to the largest diameter of the round bales to be dismembered, fed with their end faces to the cutting unit, that the total cross-section of the round bales can be covered by the cutting unit. The cutting rollers have a centre distance which is greater than their diameter, and their joint plane of axis of rotation covering all the axes of rotation is so inclined relative to the approximately horizontal plane of the scraper floor that, as seen in projection onto the approximately vertical endface of the round bales, the centre distance corresponds to the diameter of the cutting rollers. <IMAGE>
