A battery has a plurality of stacked cells (1 to 5) contained within a case (6) which has been moulded in two halves (6a and 6b). A flexible connecting element (9) spaces the cells (1 to 5) so that they completely fill the space within the case (6) and that they contact electrically conductive locating plates (7,8) at opposite ends of the case (6). A battery is thus provided which has a length and diameter which are known to a high degree of accuracy. <IMAGE> |
