<p>A method of reducing metals from the metal oxide or from the ore by aluminothermic reduction to produce relatively free iron-containing metal, using as heat boosters CaSO4, MnO2, S, SiO2, Ba(NO3)2, Sr(NO3)2 and Ca(NO3)2 free of iron. The metals which may be reduced are Mn, V, Cr, Ta and Cb.</p> |
