PURPOSE:To dispense with dial adjustment and simply attain the control of a multiplexed signal, by providing a speed control memory and duty-driving a wiper motor depending on the contents of the memory. CONSTITUTION:A switch 2 for rapidness and a switch 3 for slowness are put under on-off control so that the contents of a speed control memory 1 are sequentially rewritten. A speed counter 5 and a control switch 7 function to control the speed of a wiper motor M depending on the contents of the memory 1. Since the switches for changing the speed of a windshield wiper are on-off switches of one bit type, the use of a multiplexed signal is facilitated.
