PURPOSE:To generate an arbitrary audible tone at arbitrary intermittent intervals in an arbitrary time slot, by providing a rewritable storage device in an automatic exchange. CONSTITUTION:An audible tone memory 40 which stores a continuous signal tone required for the constitution at least >=1 kind of audible signal tones in the form of digital coding, an intermittent information memory 50 which stores at least >=1 kind of intermittent control information of the continuous signal tone read out from this memory, and a combined selecting information memory 60 storing the combined selecting information between the continuous signal tone and the intermittent, control information in an address corresponding to a time- division multiplexing time slot number of the audible signal tone, are provided. At each time slot which performs time division multiplexing of the audible signal tone, the continuous signal tone of the memory 40 selected at the memory 60 and the intermittent control information of the memory 50 are read out, and each information is combined to generate the required audible signal tone. |
