发明名称 MEASURING METHOD FOR VOIDS
摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of measurement for the thermal expansion and mechanical oscillations of pipings in measuring the voids of liquid in the piping, by making the position of the output distribution curve of a radiation detector where the output changes abruptly coincident with the abruptly changing position of a reference curve. CONSTITUTION:A radiation source and a radiation detector which are disposed to face each other with a piping 3 therebetween move in one body in an x-axis direction and detect radiation beams, thereby measuring the output voltage thereof. More specifically, the output distribution curve (1) when the piping 3 is emptied and the detector is moved, the distribution curve (2) when the liquid contg. no foam flows in the piping, and the distribution curve (3) when the liquid 20 to be measured contg. foam 19 flows therein flows are obtained. The curve (3) when there are thermal expansion and mechanical oscillations in the piping produces a position deviation as shown in the dotted line. The points (1)-a, (1)-b, etc. on the distribution curves are the positions where the output changes abruptly. The fluctuating rate in the relative positions of the piping 3 and the detector is corrected by making the (1)-b and (3)-b to coincide, whereby voids are calculated with high accuracy.
