The header tank is for a road vehicle radiator and includes expansion and collector chambers separated by a partition. There is a gas bleed passage (28) connecting one collector chamber (19) to the expansion chamber (17). The passage enters the collector chamber near to the partition (20). A gas bleed passage is provided by a hole (24) in the partition. This can be replaced by a pipe moulded together with the collector and expansion chambers. The partition (20) between the two chambers (19,17) is horizontal.
