In beaters of this type, which are made in the form of plate-shaped or strip-shaped moulded plastic bodies, there is the risk of permanent deformation. In order to exclude such undesirable deformation, a leaf spring is to bear against the beater body, which spring extends over a large part of the length of the beater and is to be fastened together with the scrapers situated on the beater, and in particular in such a manner that the leaf spring is connected to the beater only in the region of the free beater end.
