PURPOSE:To prevent an optical fiber from being bent with a radius of a minimum allowable curvature or less and to prevent the degradation and the disconnection, by forming an optical fiber protecting tool with a device fitting wheel to be fitted to an optical connector or the like, plural protecting wheels following this device fitting wheel, and connecting ribs which connect the device fitting wheel and protecting wheels. CONSTITUTION:An optical fiber protecting tool 1 have protecting wheels 2, 2... having an elliptic section connected by connecting ribs 3, 3... and is provided with an optical fiber insertion hole 4 in the longitudinal direction of the round part. Protecting sheels 2 are smaller according as going to the rear. The protecting sheel in the leading edge is a device fitting sheel 5 which has a fitting recess stripe 6 on the inside wall face so that this wheel is fitted to an optical connector or the like. In this constitution, the optical fiber protecting tool is prevented from being bent with a radius smaller than a minimum curvature radius Rm, and thus, the brittle fracture, the degradation, and the disconnection of the optical fiber are prevented. |
