PURPOSE:To specify an area through simple constitution by reading picture information on an original which has the area painted in specific colors, and processing picture information in the area different from picture information outside of the area. CONSTITUTION:On an original MAT,[1A]is drawn in black and[A]is painted in blue to specify an area AER. This original is read optically and a color decision is made to obtain black data DBK, blue data DBU, and white data DWH. Then, the blue data DBU and white data DWH are supplied to an area detector DEA to obtain white and blue edges EWB and EBW. By those two edges, the blue area AER is detected, and by the black data DBK and blue data AER, only the black data DBK in the blue area is recorded. |
