PURPOSE:To obtain an easy-to-operate receiver, by previously storing reception tuning data which correspond to all broadcasting stations in some fixed area, a code for discriminating the area, and program discrimination codes. CONSTITUTION:The 1st memory 11 is stored with reception tuning data which correspond to all broadcasting stations in a specific area, the 1st code for discriminating the transmission area, and the 2nd code for discriminating relay stations which are transmitting the same program. The 2nd memory 9 is stored with reception tuning data obtained by searching and tuning within a prescribed reception range. Then, a desired broadcasting station in the memory 9 is selectively tuned with a transmitting station selection key 15 firstly. A control circuit 10 compares this transmitting station tuning data with the data stored in the 1st and 2nd meories 11 and 9 to select a transmitting station group having the 1st and 2nd coincident codes. A transmitting station having the greatest reception electric field intensity is selected in the group invariably. |
