PURPOSE:To stabilize operation and to enhance operability, by a method wherein the packing levels of towers are measured and the average level of all of the towers is calculated on the basis of said packing levels to control total supply quantity and the supply quantity to each tower is individually controlled to the packing level of each tower. CONSTITUTION:The packing levels of towers A-C are measured by level meters 24a-24c to be inputted to an average level operation apparatus 26 through input devices 25a-25c and the average level of all of the towers is calculated to be inputted to an average level regulator 30 and, at the same time, the number of rotations of roll feeders 7a-7c are inputted to said regulator 30 to determine the total supply quantity of activated carbon and the number of rotations of a roll feeder 10 are adjusted through an output device 32. The packing levels of the towers A-C are monitored on the basis of the measured values from the level meters 24a-24c at a predetermined interval by an activated carbon level individual control apparatus 27 to determine a supply schedule. |
