This vehicle is provided with a ramp to enable passengers to board on wheelchairs. The ramp is fitted to the side of the vehicle and consists of a horizontal platform (2) in front of the vehicle door (1) and a shallow sloping ramp (3) whose upper end connects with the platform (2) and whose lower end reaches the ground. The ramp can be folded up into a space on the vehicle side or slide into a space under the vehicle floor during transport so that the ramp does not project from the side of the vehicle. This allows the shallow ramp to provide easier and less dangerous access to the vehicle by wheelchair passengers.
