To simplify the use of sensors for physical or chemical parameters, an electrical signal corresponding to the signal of the pickup is used for driving a digital/analog converter (3) via a controllable input corrector (2) so that the digital signal of the digital/analog converter (3) acts on an external bus (5) via a controllable output adapter (4), an internal bus (7) being provided for transmitting data between a number of information-processing elements (2, 3, 4, 6, 8) and the information-processing elements (2, 3, 4, 6, 8) being directly allocated to the pickup (1).
