<p>PURPOSE:To enable to obtain thick sludge having high concentration without using a macromolecular flocculant, by treating waste water with active sludge in a deep-layer aerating cell, separating it into solid matter and liquid, further aerating the separated liquid in a pipe line, and separating it again into solid matter and liquid. CONSTITUTION:Liquid A to be purified is supplied to a deep-layer aerating cell 1 and biochemically purified by injecting air F from a compressor 6, while the purified liquid B mixed with active sludge is introduced though a pipe line 3 into the first floating cell 2. The active sludge is separated therein by a collector 5, while the separated liquid containing fine particles is introduced into the pipe line 3 having a descending flow line and an ascending flow line to which air F' is supplied from the compressor 6. The supplied air F' is dissolved in the descending separated liquid, while the dissolved air is changed into fine bubbles in the ascending flow line and efficiently adsorbed by suspended matter. Said liquid is then introduced into the second floating cell 4, where fine-grained suspended matter which can not be removed in the first floating cell 2 is removed by a collector 5, and turned into serene purified liquid D.</p> |
