PURPOSE:To speed up information processing in reading/writing operation by dividing plural tracks into fixed-length areas respectively, and writing the same value in key areas of the same track. CONSTITUTION:One track of length l is divided firstly into a hard address area 1 and a record address area 2, and then into fixed-length records R1-Rn, which are composed of count areas 4, key areas 5, and data areas 3-1-3-n respectively. In this case, the same value is written in areas of the same track. Consequently, a read/write instruction is executed by a key SEARCH function. Therefore, the read/write instruction is executed immediately without reference to the position of a magnetic head on a track, and thus a wait over rotation is shortened, increasing a data processing speed. |
