PURPOSE:To track accurately, by making the width of a data track and a servo track of a sector servo system magnetic disc equal, and making the width of a manetic head almost twice that of the servo track. CONSTITUTION:The width of a servo track and data track is made equal, a servo output 11 of a magnetic head having almost double width as that of the servo track is amplified 12, a timing generator 13 is driven and the timing clock is sequentially outputted and peak detectors 14-17 of the output of the amplifier 12 are clocked to form signals A-D. The outputs A, B are differentially amplified 18, the output is inputted to a multiplexer 23, invertingly amplified 20 and inputted to the multiplexer 23. The outputs C, D are similarly processed. The address stored in a track address register 22 is inputted to the multiplexer 23, a tracking error is detected to thermal expansion can be ccmpensated over a broad range. |
