PURPOSE:To enhance the wear resistance of a machine member and to elongate the endurance life by spraying ceramics made of metallic oxide, nitride, carbide or boride on the member with a water plasma spraying device to form a sprayed layer. CONSTITUTION:A sprayed layer of ceramics contg. 1 or >=2 kinds of metallic compounds selected from metallic oxides, nitrides, carbides and borides is formed on a machine member with a water plasma spraying device. The metallic oxides are Al2O3, ZrO2, ZrO2.SiO2, MgO.Al2O3, Al2O3.SiO2, TiO2, etc., the nitrides are Si3N4, BN, etc., the carbides are SiC, ZrC, etc., and the borides are CrB, ZrB, etc. According to a part where the sprayed layer is used, 1 or >=2 kinds of such metallic compounds are used. Powder of various metals may be added furthermore. |
