摘要 PURPOSE:To quarantee and control the quality of a weld zone automatically in the stage of electrical heating and press welding of conductive metallic base materials to each other by controlling conducting power quantity to the adequate conducting power quantity necessary for joining obtained from the material quality and sectional shape of the base material. CONSTITUTION:Conductive metallic base materials 1-1, 1-2 to be joined are clamped 2 and electricity is conducted thereto from an electric power source 3 to heat their fayed surfaces electrically. In a current quantity calculator 7 and a voltage quantity calculator 8, conducting current quantity and conducting voltage quantity are calculated in accordance with the weld time of a standard timer 6, and conducting power quantity is calculted with a power calculator 9. Said value is compared with the adequate conducting power quantity obtained by a calculator 11 for the adequate conducting power quantity in a comparator 12, and when the adequate power quantity is attained, a setter 4 for controlling conduction of electricity is turned off to suspend the conduction of electricity. At the same time, both materials 1-1, 1-2 are pressurized in a direction A by secondary pressurizing to complete the press welding work. The joined part forms a high quality joint part stably and automatically without requiring breaking tests.
