PURPOSE:To improve the heat resistance and the electric characteristics of a stator assembly for a high temperature canned motor by engaging a magnetic wedge made of sintered alloy with the air gap at the end of a slot. CONSTITUTION:A field coil 14 is contained through an insulating sheet 16 in a slot 12 formed on core 10, an insulating plate 18 is inserted into the hole side of the slot 12, and the coil 14 is fixed. A magnetic wedge 22 made of sintered alloy adapted for the shape of an air gap A of the end of the hole of the slot 12 formed between the plate 18 and a stator can 20 is engaged with the air gap A. In this manner, even if high temperature and high pressure are applied to the can 20, the deformation of the can 20 can be prevented by the wedge 22, and since the magnetic reluctance of the end of the hole of the slot 12 can be reduced, the exciting current can be reduced, thereby improving the power factor. |
