PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor for suitably and timely transmitting a response for a request for selecting a player by a remote control command to an associated apparatus. SOLUTION: The information processor includes a short range radio communication unit and a player selection control unit. The short range radio communication unit receives from an associated apparatus a selection request for requesting selection of one of players among a plurality of players through short range radio communications. The player selection control unit controls switching to a player to whom selection is requested, according to the selection request. The short range radio communication unit transmits a selection success response to the selection request to the associated apparatus through short range radio communications, when a predetermined time duration is past without distinguishing the propriety for player switching after the player switching is started. When failure in the player switching is detected after the transmission of the selection success response, player change notice indicative that it is changed into a player chosen before execution of the player switching is transmitted to the associated apparatus through short range radio communications.
