PURPOSE:To provide a heating furnace body which improves the efficiency of combustion and to permit adequate control of heating by providing moving side walls and a moving ceiling in a furnace shell moving adequately by a moving mean thereby making the effective inside volume of the furnace variable according to the sizes of the heating body. CONSTITUTION:Moving walls 21, 22 and a moving ceiling 23 are provided in a shell 1 consisting of side walls 11, 12 and a ceiling 13 of a heating furnace. In order to move these, cylinders 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36 mounted to stands 51, 52, 53, 54 and the ceiling 13 are provided. Sealing boxes 62, 65 filled with sealing water 15 are provided on both sides of a hearth 14, and the heating chamber is sealed by immersing the sealing plates 71, 72 mounted to the bottom ends of the walls 21, 22 into the water 15. Heat insulating materials 73, 74 are pressed to the outer sides at the top ends of the walls 21, 22 by means of pressing means 63, 64 and rods 37a, 38a, and heat insulating materials 71, 72 are mounted on the inner side at the bottom end, whereby the leakage of the heat from the inside of the furnace is prevented. |
