PURPOSE:To improve the safeness of operation of the titled device by fitting a slip clatch between a driving motor for respective driving sources of XY axis driving mechanism and a force transmitting sprocket. CONSTITUTION:The rotational shaft of a driving motor 1 drives a gear box 3 and an encoder/tachometer 2 simultaneously to control the moving distance and moving speed in the X and Y axial directions. A block OP injects reagents or subjects and detects optical responses from their products. After the speed of the motor 1 has been reduced down to a prescribed rotational ratio by the gear box 3, the sprocket 4 is rotated by the motor 1. If a malfunction or unnatural force is generated, the rotation of the motor 1 is separated from that of the sprocket 4 by a slip clatch 5 as a buffer mechanism and the motor 1 is stopped. When the sprocket 4 is rotated, two belts 7 are driven through the rotation of the driving shaft 8 of the Y axis and a belt 6 is directly driven. The movement of the belts 7 is interlocked with a Y moving stage 11' and the belt 6 with an optical injecting mechanism. |
