The hydraulic damper has a cylinder(1) containing hydraulic fluid. A piston(2) works in the cylinder. A rod(4) secured to the piston extends out of the cylinder. A damper(3) mounted on the piston with an adjuster(1) which cooperates with it. The other end of this extends through the piston rod. A motor(19) is connected to the other end of the adjuster. The adjuster has a head(13) which cooperates with an orifice(36) in the piston & can be moved axially or rotatively by the motor to vary the area of the orifice.
