The ends of a profiled beam of the storage rack are cut normal to its longitudinal axis and are upset so that each has a flat fastening part (35) which is wider than the beam. The thickness is considerably less than the beam thickness. The flat part has interlocking tongues (41) for fastening the beam to end posts (32) in the rack. - An area of gradually decreasing height and gradually increasing thickness blends the upset beam end into the main centre portion of the beam. The flat sections are in a plane between the planes defining the thickness of the beam. The construction provides a non-welded rack for pallet goods.(8/14) |
