PURPOSE:To efficiently perform electric discharge machining to a work in a different machining direction, by diagonally holding electrodes with respect to a feed direction of machining heads and machining the work while moving the work to directions crossing at a right angle with the feed direction of the machining heads. CONSTITUTION:Electrodes 9 are mounted to machining heads 7 of an electric discharge machine through spacers 20-22, then a feed direction (Z) of the machining head 7 and axial direction of the electrode 9 are set to an optional angle. A work 1-1 is mounted to a table 11, and can be moved in directions (X, Y) crossing at a right angle with the direction Z. To machine through holes 2-4-5-4 in a centripetal direction of the work 1-1, the electrodes 9 are mounted through spacers, sloped at an equal angle to that of the through hole 2, and an end of the electrode 9 is performed with positioning to a machining position, then X, Y, Z directional movement is simultaneously performed in such a manner that the electrodes 9 can relatively make motion for the work 1-1 in the axial direction. |
