PURPOSE:To enable a relatively easy production of a color grade discrimination reference stone and a universal discrimination of diamond by employing cubic zirconia (ZrO2) for the stone. CONSTITUTION:A small amount of a transition metal oxide or a rare earth oxide is added to a cubic ZrO2 to form a product comparable to the color grade of a natural diamond reference stone. This facilitates the discrimination of the color grade without requiring any costly natural product. |
